Bow Training

So as you can see...
I wiped the blog clean... starting fresh!

First blog entry.....
Bow training!!!

On day ONE of a 30 day plank challenge but also adding in two different exercising with the compound bow.
The goal?
to be shooting off 20 arrows each day with ease and of steady hand.
My bow is set between 45 and 50 pounds.
Right now, after many times trying, I have only pulled it full weight ONCE and barely did that!
So this is all about being able to smoothly set off arrows and maybe even get up in weight so I can hunt with it next year.

So here goes nothing!!
Will try to keep updated as much as  I can!

First exercise: holding bow in one hand, lift bow in front of your body. Keep a bend in your elbow and keep the entire arm level, from shoulder to elbow to hand. hold for ten seconds and switch hands. Do for 5 minutes straight then rest. then do another five minutes. on day thirty will be up to 5 different 5 minutes sessions of this.

Second exercise: the Plank! first day, 20 seconds. on the 30th day will be doing 5 minutes.

Third exercise: Bow Pull. for a minute straight, pull bow like you are going to shoot. pull till full weight and slowly release.  no rests in between, keeping up a good pace. on day thirty, will be up to 2.20 minutes.

Wish me luck!!
